December Performances

I was trying to get some dates together for this month, but December is halfway over so I think I have to admit that it’s not quite going to happen.

On Christmas Eve I’ll be singing in a family trio at Hoboken Presbyterian Church at 7:30, and that’s sort of where my prep time is going. If I get a chance, I’ll hit up some open stage nights later this week, but this is sort of a weird time of year when it comes to scheduling so I’m going to save myself some stress.

Normal performance dates will resume in January.

Dream a Little Dream of Me

The Youtube video is up for my surprise cover: “Dream a Little Dream of Me!”

It wasn’t really a surprise, since I got impatient and uploaded the music to SoundCloud a few days ago (oops). I love the audio, but I’m kind of meh about the video. The way my room is arranged has me singing away from the light and the camera.  But eh, I’ll figure it out. With luck I’ll soon be making enough $ to move out of my parents’ house, so I’ll get my own apartment and set up a music space there.

In case you were wondering what happened to the other song, I didn’t get to finish it. But I have a few days off for Christmas so hopefully one of them will be a recording day!

 

Recording Day!

Today I took a special vacation day to record some songs for youtube while the fam is at work.  Those who know me in person know I’ve been frustrated by how infrequently I’m home alone long enough to record (I may gripe about it a little a lot), but today has been really fantastic!  I just finished recording a cover (What song? It’s a surprise!), and after lunch I will try to squeeze in an original before everyone gets home!

Still have to dress both songs up a little using Audacity, but they should be on youtube soon!
